Mission Mangal is loosely based on the life of scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to India’s first interplanetary expedition Mars Orbiter Mission. It beautifully portrays the inspirational and motivational story of the Mars Orbiter Mission team.

Gully Boy

The story of Gully Boy movie was based on the lives of two Indian rappers and showcased their own journeys of beginning from a Mumbai slum to becoming a top Indian rapper. The plot followed the life of Vivian Fernandes, popularly known as Divine, along with Naved Shaikh known as Naezy.

Cast: Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Varma, Amruta Subhash and Vijay Raaz.

English Vinglish

English Vinglish movie is the story of Shashi, a woman who doesn’t know English and is made to feel insecure about this by her family and society at large. The film is also an inspirational story till date.

Cast: Sridevi, Adil Hussain, French actor Mehdi Nebbou, and Priya Anand.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

The story is based on the life of Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete and Olympian who was a champion of the Commonwealth Games and two-times 400m champion of the Asian Games. The movie is an absolute booster for all individuals involved in sports.

Chak De! India narrates a fictional story about the Indian women’s national field hockey team, that was loosely inspired by the Indian team’s win at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. It was released way back in 2007 and still remains one of the best sports-based films to have come out of India.

3 Idiots

Adapted loosely from Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone. It is a story of young boys name Rancho, Farhan Qureshi, and Raju Rastogi. It is an inspirational movie because of its acting, story, and concept of the movie.

Mary Kom

It is a 2014 biographical sports film based on the life of the eponymous boxer Mary Kom. The movie depicts Kom’s journey of becoming a boxer to her victory at the 2008 World Boxing Championships in Ningbo.

Cast: Priyanka Chopra, Darshan Kumar and Sunil Thapa.
