Indian Television shows are getting bigger and more spectacular with each passing day. The makers are not shirking from spending a whopping amount but are also using VFX to lure in the viewers. Though they still have a long way to go before giving stiff competition to foreign serials like Game Of Thrones or Money Heist. But all is not lost we still have some makers who have left the viewers impressed, they have put in most of the effort and money to make their TV shows spectacular on the small screen.

They have painted a larger than life picture with huge sets, spectacular costumes and sparkling jewellery that adds a touch of royalty to the TV shows. The serials are not only shot in some studios, the makers do not mind spending a little extra to shoot on scenic locations.

As per a Bollywood Life report, Ekta Kapoor has apparently made this supernatural show on a whopping budget of Rs. Rs 130 crore. The spectacular sets and the costumes are winning hearts and the show is receiving much love from fans.

The Salman Khan hosted reality show is one of the most loved shows on Indian Television. Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma starrer Jodha Akbar is another serial that is made on a huge budget. Apparently, the huge lavish sets and the royal costumes made this show one of the costliest. Reportedly, it had a budget of Rs 10 crore.

Mahabharat

2013’s Mahabharat was quite popular on TV all thanks to its ensemble cast of Shaheer Sheikh, Pooja Sharma, Sourabh Raaj Jain, Arpit Ranka, Saurav Gurjar, Aham Sharma and more. The Swastik Productions Pvt Ltd TV show was apparently made on a budget of Rs 100 crore with about 20 spent on Marketing itself. It was one of the grandest television shows and is still loved by fans.

Another Swastik Productions, Karmaphal Daata Shani starred Kartikeya Malviya, Juhi Parmar, Rohit Khurana, Tarun Khanna and others. Though there is no clear idea of the money spent to make the serial on one of the most feared God, The show had approximately 600 people working on the sets spread across 65,000 square feet. It was on the list of the most expensive shows.
