During the wee hours of October 8, veteran actor Nana Patekar was found unconscious at him home in Goa. After being rushed to a nearby private hospital, the 75-year-old actor was pronounced dead around 5:20 am despite the hospital’s efforts to revive him for nearly 45 minutes. The official cause of his death has been revealed to be a heart attack.

Nana Patekar’s Death
Nana Patekar passed early this morning in Goa. As per reports, the veteran actor was found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa. He was then rushed to Manipal Hospital where doctors attempted to revive the actor for around 45 minutes but were unsuccessful. The actor was declared dead at around 5:20 am. Doctors citied cardiac arrest as the cause of death.
The National award-winning actor will be cremated with full state honours at his ancestral farmhouse in Donje, Pune, today evening. The timing circulating at the moment is 4pm. Before the final rites, his body will be kept at the farmhouse property for a brief period to allow family, close friends, film fraternity colleagues, and local villagers to pay their last respects.
Nana Patekar was last seen on the big screen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s 2026 romantic action thriller O’ Romeo. He also featured in Prakash Jha’s socio-political series Sankalp and made a cameo appearance in Subedaar. Some of Nana’s most prominent films include Parinda, Krantiveer, Agni Sakshi, Ab Tak Chhappan, Welcome, Apaharan, Taxi No 9211 and Raajneeti, among others.
