Actor Randeep Hooda who has always taken a strong stand for things he believes in, has now taken up the mission of cleaning the Versova beach. The actor, with the guidance of Afroz Shah, went to the beach and started his cleanliness mission. He took up this cause as he realised the repercussions and after-effects of Ganesh Visarjan. While Ganpati Bappa is welcomed and brought to our houses and pandals without a lot of fervour, after 10 days, people bid him goodbye by immersing him lakes and sea.

However, it results into a lot of dirt on the beaches as everything is just lying around, including the debris from the Ganpati idols which fail to immerse in the sea. So, when a public figure like Mr Hooda takes up the noble cause of cleaning the beach, it really sets an example for the commoners.
