Movies Rejected by Tabu

Badhaai Ho: Badhaai Ho starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. For the uninitiated, Tabu was offered a role in Badhaai Ho but she turned it down. During an interview, Amit Sharma told IANS, “We had gone to Tabu ji for the role. At that time, we had a different script in mind and we wanted Tabu ma’am and Irrfan Khan sir. When she heard the script, she suggested Neena’s name for her character. Tabu felt, perhaps rightly, that she looked like a woman who can still have a child.”

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: It is well-known that Aishwarys Rai Bachchan was offered a role in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Well, if reports are to be believed, Tabu was also offered Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, but she turned down the offer.

Mann: Reportedly, Tabu was offered Aamir Khan starrer Mann, but she turned it down due to unknown reasons.

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna: Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna starred Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta. According to InstantBollywood report, Tabu was offered Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna but she rejected it.

Munnabhai M.B.B.S: According to IMDb, Tabu was offered to play the role of Chinki, but she rejected it. The role later went to Gracy Singh.
