Bigg Boss is back with the 15th installment and is in the buzz ever since its announcement. The series will start off on October 2 and will have the theme of Jungle. The contestants will fight for basic amenities before they enter the main house. Talking about the new theme of Bigg Boss 15, host Salman Khan had said at the event, “The facilities that contestants will get this time will be lesser than before. They will only get a tiny survival kit but will be scolded by Bigg Boss, punished, luxury budgets will be slashed.”

The makers have revealed some names of the contestants. For the unversed, Shamita Shetty, Nishant Bhat, Donal Bisht, Umar Riaz, Pratik Sehajpal, Karan Kundrra, Akasa Singh, Afsana Khan and Simba Nagpal will be seen as contestants in the Salman Khan’s show. The recent promo by the makers of Bigg Boss 15, revealed that Tejasswi Prakash is also entering the show as a contestant. Did you know she was offered many times, she even declined season 14.

Tejwasi’s full name is Tejasswi Prakash Wayangankar. She was born on June 10, 1992. Her father Prakash Wayangankar is a musician by profession and is situated in Mumbai. She has a younger brother, Pratik Wayangankar who is an engineer. She is also a sitar player.

Many do not know that she is a qualified engineer. She has a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Mumbai University. However, she always wanted to be an actress and started her career at the age of 18.

Tejasswi rose to fame with the show Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki. She became a household name after featuring Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur.

Tejasswi has done reality shows like Kitchen Champion 5 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10. She has also made special appearances in shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil, Comedy Nights Live, Comedy Nights Bachao among others.

She courted a major controversy in 2017 due to her TV show Pehredaar Piya Ki. For the unversed, Tejasswi was paired opposite young child actor Affan Khan which did not go well with viewers. Makers stopped the serial as people objected to Tejasswi’s character getting married to a 9-yr-old boy. The show, however, returned with a leap of the male actor – Rohit Suchanti.

However, the controversy helped her. She said, “The content was bashed but people were like, ‘Who’s that girl’. That’s how I got Rohit Shetty’s film. I didn’t receive any backlash. The film happened after Pehredaar Piya Ki. So in a way all the hype helped me. It opened a lot more doors for me.”

She featured in a Marathi movie called School College Ani Life. The actress made her debut on the web with Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka.
