'Band Baaja Baaraat'
It was only Anushka’s third release, but ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ saw an exceptionally mature performance from her. Her onscreen chemistry with the then debutant actor Ranveer Singh was charming and energetic. The film was a critical and commercial success.
'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'
Anushka Sharma played the part of Akira Rai, a documentary filmmaker, with perfection. Her performance literally outshone that of both her co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Her character of Alizeh Khan is full of life even when she is diagnosed with cancer. Anushka stole the show with her emotionally controlled performance and her brilliant onscreen chemistry with her co-star Ranbir Kapoor. ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ can be easily counted among her best performances till date.
