Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Remember Karan Johar‘s ‘Shuddhi’? The much discussed film did not work out and we were disappointed, to say the least. Grapevine suggested that it was based upon Amish Tripathi’s bestseller ‘Immortals of Meluha’. Looks like the story has changed hands now!

If reports are to be believed, then none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali is taking interest in the book and might turn it into a film!

‘Immortals of Meluha’ revolves around the journey of Shiva and starts with his arrival. The Meluhans, residents of mystical land Meluha, believe that Shiva is their saviour. Shiva joins a war against the Chandravanshis and Nagas. Tripathi, who initially wanted to write a book on the philosophy evil, later changed his mind and penned a book about Shiva. “His contract with Karan expired recently, so Dharma had to surrender the rights to the book,” a source close to development informed DNA.
