Happy Independence Day 2021: Mahesh Babu, Samantha Akkineni, Dulquer Salmaan and others share wishes in honour of the country

Independence Day, which is celebrated every year on August 15, is one big occasion as India got its freedom from the shackles of the British Raj. This year, Indians across the world are celebrating their 75th Independence with great fervour. Right from flag hoisting ceremonies to dance programs to special food, are being enjoyed today to commemorate the historic day. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, the celebrations are quite limited.

However, as per the traditions, the PM of India unfurled the Tricolor at the Red Fort. And not just the masses but also celebs are taking to social media to extend their warm wishes. On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, many South celebs took to social media to extend greetings to their fans and followers on social media. Mahesh Babu tweeted, “Let the spirit of freedom keep us united and guide us all on the path to progress! Happy #IndependenceDay.” Dulquer Salmaan tweeted, “Wishing every Indian a very Happy Independence Day! #75yearsofFreedom.”

Dulquer’s father Mammootty also took his Twitter account to wish. He wrote, “On our 75th Independence Day, we remember our history and our nation’s innumerable struggles. With the fervent spirit of unity, let us always strive to uphold the values of secularism, democracy and equality. Happy Independence Day to all.” Many actors such as Samantha, Raashi and Pooja took to their Instagram to wish.
