Salaar: Shruti Haasan joins the cast of Prabhas’ action-drama

On Janaury 15, the makers of Prabhas starrer Salaar had launched the film amidst a lot of fanfare. Helmed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar is touted to showcase Prabhas in a never-seen-before avatar. And today on the occasion of Shruti Haasan’s birthday, the makers of Salaar welcomed her on board. Yes, Shruti and Prabhas are all set to share the screen space for the very first time. Now isn’t that exciting?

Wishing Shruti on her birthday and welcoming her on board, Hombale films tweeted, “Wish you a very happy birthday @shrutihaasan We’re ecstatic to have you onboard for #Salaar. Can’t wait to see you sizzle on the screen. #Prabhas @prashanth_neel @VKiragandur @hombalefilms (sic).”

Bahubaali star Prabhas also wished the gorgeous actress on her birthday and shared how excited he is to work with her. “Happiest Birthday @shrutzhaasan! Looking forward to working with you on #Salaar(sic),” posted Prabhas on his Instagram handle.

Shruti joining Salaar comes as a pleasant surprise for the actress’ fan. After Prashant Neel’s KGF: Chapter 1 became a massive hit, everyone is looking forward to his next directorial. Action-drama Salaar is a pan-India film and Prabhas will be playing an extremely violent character in it.

Shruti is celebrating her 35th birthday today. Thanking everyone for their love and blessing the actress penned a sweet note. “Filled with gratitude and joy !!! This has been the best phase of my life and I’m thankful for my lessons and the journey …ive grown and changed in ways that have shaped my vision of the future I want for myself filled with light and creativity — I want to take a second to say a giant THANKYOU to my virtual family for making my birthday so special ?Thankyou for all your wishes I feel so loved ???,” she wrote in her Instagram post.
