Amber Heard welcomes a baby girl amidst legal tussle with ex-husband Johnny Depp

American film and television actress Amber Heard welcomed a baby girl on April 8 this year. The Aquaman actress announced the news of her daughter’s birth via a heartfelt Instagram post that she shared on Friday (June 2).  Amber not only shared her newborn daughter’s picture but also revealed her name. The gorgeous actress has named her daughter Oonagh Paige Heard.

In a heartfelt post announcing the birth of her daughter, Amber wrote how it was four years ago when she had decided to have a child. The actress also spoke about how she wanted to do it on her own terms.

“I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way,” wrote the Drive Angry actress. 

Further revealing her daughter’s name, Amber added, “I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this. My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life.”

Congratulating the actress over the birth of her daughter, her Aquaman costar Jason Momoa wrote, “congratulations ❤️” on her post.

The news of Amber embracing motherhood comes amidst her legal tussle with ex-husband Johnny Depp. The actress has been facing a bitter legal tussle with Depp after their two-year marriage ended in divorce in 2017. Amber has accused Depp of physically assaulting her while the latter has rubbished her claims.
