Brad Pitt’s Mother Jane Etta Pitt Passes Away At 84; Granddaughter Sydney Shares Heartfelt Tribute

Brad Pitt is grieving the loss of his mother, Jane Etta Pitt, who passed away at the age of 84. She was a retired school counsellor and a loving mother of three, with Brad being the eldest. Known for her warm heart and strength, Jane was the person who held the Pitt family together.

Jane Etta Pitt Dies At 84

The news of her passing was shared by her granddaughter, Sydney Pitt, in an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday. The cause of death has not been made public.

In her touching tribute, Sydney called her grandmother “my sweet Grammy” and wrote, “We were not ready for you to leave us yet, but knowing you are at last free to sing and dance and paint some more makes it a little better.” Sydney further described Jane’s personality, “If you knew Grammy, you knew she had the biggest heart. She loved everyone and everything with no questions asked.”

“There was no end to the love she offered, and everyone who knew her experienced it. I don’t know how we’ll get on without her. But I do know she’s still here in every brushstroke, every generous act, every hummingbird. She was love unadulterated,” Sydney wrote.
