Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt’s Daughter Shiloh Adopts New Name Shi Joli

On May 29, 19-year-old Shiloh attended a dinner celebrating the launch of Isabel Marant’s collection with Net-A-Porter, according to Variety. Known for keeping her private life out of the public eye, she took on a new role as choreographer for musician Luella, who performed her latest single Naïve with dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuko, as detailed in the event’s press release.

The release revealed her new name: “Shi Joli,” a moniker that pays tribute to her mother while streamlining her legal name. The event was described as an “intimate sunset dinner” held at Schindler’s Oliver House in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. Notable guests included Milla Jovovich, Alison Brie, January Jones, and Rachel Bilson.

Shiloh had previously requested to drop her father’s last name on her 18th birthday in May 2024, and the change was officially finalised in August. After a judge approved the petition, she legally became Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. It is reported that she handled the process independently, hiring her lawyer and covering the costs herself. Angelina was not involved in the decision, as a source told Entertainment Tonight.

When Did Shiloh Change Her Name?

In July, Shiloh’s attorney Peter Levine confirmed to Page Six that her decision was independent and significant, driven by painful events, and that she chose to drop “Pitt” from her name without her parents’ influence. Angelina Jolie, 49, and Brad Pitt, 61, share six children: Maddox (23), Zahara (20), Pax (21), Knox (16), Vivienne (16), and Shiloh. Their divorce was finalised in December 2024 after an eight-year legal process. In a May interview with GQ, Brad Pitt addressed the end of his high-profile divorce, stating that he did not feel “relief,” but rather saw it as “something coming to fruition”—a legal milestone.
