Kim Woo Bin opens up about finally making a comeback to dramas with Shin Min Ah starrer Our Blues

Kim Woo Bin will finally be making his comeback to Korean dramas with the drama Our Blues which also stars his rumoured lady love Shin Min Ah but to the fan’s disappointment, they will not be seen as a couple. Kim Woo Bin was seen in commercials and variety shows here and there after he recovered from nasopharyngeal cancer.

Recently during a press conference for Our Blues, Kim Woo Bin opened up about finally making a comeback, he said, “I did appear on a scripted variety show and some commercials but I am so happy and thankful that I am able to do drama series and reach you all.”

Further talking about his character Park Jeong Jun, Wo Bin said, “I put emphasis on trying to put myself in Jeong Jun’s shoes so as to understand how he can love and feel the emotions. So I just followed through Noh Hee-kyung’s script. I followed the emotional journey of Jeong Jun and when I was getting prepared for the role, I wanted to understand the environment that he lives in so I went over to Jeju earlier to meet and talk with some boat captains, sometimes just follow around divers to see how they commute and also learn how to trim fish.”

Woo Bin also said that he has a nervous excitement to be working with a cast like Our Blues’,  he said, “I have been fidgeting the whole day I can’t sit still. So am in this project with senior actors that I really look up to and some of them I am already familiar with so I was very very excited. This doesn’t always happen, being a project together with so many wonderful actors so I am just delighted.” Our Blues stars Lee Byung-hun, Cha Seung-won, Lee Jung-eun, Uhm Jung-hwa, Han Ji-min.

Later Writer Noh Hee-Kyung was asked about Woo Bin and Min Ah not being cast as a couple in the show which is what the fans were looking forward to the most, “When I was casting them, I did tell them that they will not appear as a couple and they will be in romantic relationships with other actors and thankfully they were fine with that. Of course, they are professional actors. I wanted to cast them because they were great actors. I didn’t think much about anything else. They are cool and professional. I’m sure they have drawn a clear line. “
