S. Coups from SEVENTEEN to step down from comeback promotions after shoulder injury; CARATS concerned

S. Coups from SEVENTEEN who is the leader of the K-pop group will have to take an unplanned hiatus as he has suffered from a shoulder injury.  SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino will now have to carry on without their leader as the comeback promotions are underway for the 8th Mini Album Your Choice. SEVENTEEN boys were already in a 10-day long quarantine due to the recent Covid scare and now their fans CARATS are deeply concerned for the idol. CARATS have been raining in good wishes for S.Coups and his speedy recovery.

On July 1, Pledis Entertainment released a statement about S.Coups’ health condition and said that the SEVENTEEN member is resting to recover soon. This statement has come as a relief to all CARATS who were in a frenzy over S.Coups being mia, the statement read, “We would like to provide information on 8th mini-album activities of SEVENTEEN member S.COUPS. On Wednesday, June 30 while engaging in a scheduled event S.COUPS suffered a fall and hit his right shoulder on the ground, and received medical treatment.”

The statement also said that the K-pop idol has sustained additional abrasions and cuts on his right forehead, ear, and chin, and was treated for those injuries, “After a medical examination, physicians advised that while his daily activities will, fortunately, be unaffected, he should minimize moving his shoulder for a period of time. S.COUPS is currently resting and recovering to make sure that inflammation doesn’t develop at the site of his injury.”

S. Coups will not be part of SEVENTEEN’s appearances on Mnet, KBS, and SBS music shows as well as the SEVENTEEN 8th Mini Album “Your Choice” fan sign event. CARATS are left disappointed that SEVENTEEN’s leader will not be part of such big events, apologising to CARATS, the statement said, “We would like to apologize to all fans who have eagerly waited for SEVENTEEN and we ask for your generous understanding. We will place our highest priority on treatment and recovery so that S.COUPS can return to you in full health.”
