Prabhu Deva has disappointed the audience with his cinematic trash ‘Singh is Bling’. Singh is Bling is an action comedy film which stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. The film has just released at the Box Office and has come out as a sheer disappointment to the audience. There is nothing shining in Singh is Bling.

The film revolves around the story of Raftaar Singh aka Akshay Kumar who happily lives in his village, spends time with his friends, is irresponsible and the biggest irritant to his father Yograj Singh. One fine day his father asks him to go to Goa and do some work for his friend there. He lands up in Goa and meets Sara (Amy Jackson) and falls in love with her. Communication becomes a barrier between the two as Sara can only speak English and our village boy cannot understand a word in her language. So there comes their savior Emily (Lara Dutta) as their translator. How Akshay Kumar lands up in Romania and how Mark (Kay Kay Menon) makes an entry as a villian is something to watch out for. There are scenes where Emily sleepwalks and makes men follow her in the night and when they get all excited for some action, she hits them between the legs with a coconut. And how can I forget Director Prabhu Deva who appears out of nowhere and starts peeing on Akshay Kumar.

The film has NO STORY AT ALL. Prabhu Deva is known for his action sequences and dance, and this time around he has tried experimenting with a comedy film and has failed horribly. Though there are some action sequences in the film but frankly these cannot be compared to any of Prabhu’s other films watching which was a treat to our eyes.

Music:

  • Meet Bros Anjjan, Manj Musik and Sajid-Wajid have worked hard for the music of the films which has turned to be the main highlight of the film.

Acting:

  • Akshay Kumar has certainly impressed the audience with his comic timing over the years and has managed to deliver the same yet again.
  • Kay Kay Menon has disappointed us with his performance in the film, he sure has work to do when it comes to acting.
  • Amy Jackson is a British model turned Bollywood actress and has performed decently in the movie doing some action sequences. But she still has to work on her dialogue delivery.
  • Lara Dutta has performed decently in the comedy scenes and has also managed to impress her with her beauty.

The film is expected to open big in North India. But we are sure it won’t do good in any other part of the country.

Overall, the film is not worth spending a penny on. But if you are a die-hard Akshay Kumar fan then you should prove your loyalty and do watch the film in theaters.
