Bhumi Pednekar calls ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ her re-launch in Bollywood

Bhumi Pednekar, the chubby actress whose acting prowess we witnessed in the 2015 rom-com ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, will be seen again on the silver screen, this time with Akshay Kumar, in the upcoming movie ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. Bhumi, who took a hiatus of more than a year, has been in the news more for her drastic transformation from a heavier self to a more glamorous one, than for her upcoming movies. And now, Bhumi says that she feels this her re-launch in Bollywood.

In an interview with an agency, Bhumi said, “I have only done two films. So, I don’t know how things are going to be ahead…specially for me, because I feel this is like a re-launch for me. This like me debuting all over again.”

Bhumi further stated that her role in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is significantly different from the one that she portrayed in her debut.

The film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is a love story cum satire directed towards a social cause, starring Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. The movie also stars Anupam Kher and will hit theatres on June 2, 2017.
