Even though the letter was said be an emotional tribute to his granddaughters, a section of the media and public feel that the letter is part of publicity for his upcoming release ‘Pink’. But the megastar clears the same and says he had the letter within him always. “What has been expressed in that letter has been within me for some time. I have always had such thoughts and beliefs and have followed them in my environ and in my family. Working on Pink put me in direct touch with those emotions,” Amitabh said.

He also accepts the fact that he is inspired by the situations and circumstances in ‘Pink. “In many ways, the essence of the letter is what purports to be the essence of the concept of ‘Pink. If I were not to be working in the film. I would still have had no hesitation in publicly saying what I have said in the film. So, yes it was an emotional experience and moved by such, I felt like putting those words out.”
