Intolerance row: Kareena Kapoor Khan backs Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan‘s comments on rising intolerance in India had led to a national debate in the country. He faced a lot of opposition for speaking his mind in public. Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has now stood by him as she said that Aamir did not say anything wrong.

As Kareena’s film with Arjun Kapoor, ‘Ki & Ka’, is set to release soon, she is having a lot of media interactions. In one such interaction with a leading lady she said that Aamir just expressed his fear and that nothing’s wrong in it. She was quoted saying, “I don’t think Aamir said anything wrong. He just addressed a fear. It was a conversation that he was talking to his wife about. I don’t think he meant anything damaging by it. Of course, 500000 opinions followed and as many clarifications were issued. There will always be anger and unrest as opinions are expressed. India is made up of highly emotional people.”

When asked about intolerance, Aamir Khan had said that his wife Kiran Rao had once wished to leave the country due to the growing discontent in the country. This called for a lot of problems for the star. He then had to publish an official statement that he loves his country and is not planning to move out.
