Javed Akhtar visits Dilip Kumar at the hospital after his 94th birthday

Bollywood’s veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre last week, after he complained of swelling in one of his legs. While his fans are still waiting for the good news of his discharge, writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar made his way here to visit the actor.

Actress Shabana Azmi, wife of Javed Akhtar who has written films like ‘Shakti’, ‘Kranti’ and ‘Mashaal’ which starred the veteran actor in the lead role, took to her Twitter handle, to share a picture. This picture showed Javed along with Dilip Kumar, and latter’s wife Saira Banu, at the hospital. Shabana wrote, “Unfortunately I wasn’t in town but @Javedakhtarjadu conveyed my deepest regards for d tallest thespian @TheDilipKumar.” [sic]

Dilip Kumar celebrated his 94th birthday with his wife Saira Banu, here at the hospital on Sunday where he posted a picture on his Twitter handle writing, “Saira, helps me cut a cake…” [sic] This picture saw Dilip saab along with Saira Banu cutting a chocolate cake in the hospital.
