Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon, who recently had a quick trip to Delhi, talked at length about moral policing and online trolls pertaining to what women are wearing. This was in context of actress Priyanka Chopra being slammed for her attire during her meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Even Modi sir was not wearing a kurta pyjama; he was wearing a suit, which is Western. And Priyanka was wearing something very decent. It wasn’t vulgar attire. People need to stop telling women what to wear, or else it should be mentioned that if you’re meeting so and so, please wear a burkha,” an upset Kriti told HT.

Priyanka’s dress, during the particular meet, was showing her legs. A section of her social media followers went on to accuse her of not showing enough respect to the PM.

“Priyanka is someone who represents India in so many ways and has made us proud in the entire world. She’s not someone who will do anything that harms India’s pride,” Kriti added.
