Saif-Ali-Khan-in-Chef

Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming film ‘Chef’ was supposed to release on July 14, clashing with big films like ‘Jagga Jasoos’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif and ‘Haseena’ featuring Shraddha Kapoor. But looks like the makers were in no mood to take any kind of risk and hence, the film’s release has been postponed. As per a trade analyst, ‘Chef’ will now make it to the theatres on October 6, 2017. The film has been pushed by almost 2 months. Produced by T-Series and Abundantia, ‘Chef’ is directed by Raja Krishna Menon. It is an official Indian adaptation of Hollywood film with the same name.

Talking about the clash of ‘Chef’, the director had said, “July 14 became over-crowded. The producers feel we should get some sort of passage to ensure a proper release. Nowadays we have to consider Hollywood releases also while seeking a proper release date. I think there is too much time, effort and passion involved in the making of a film to be adamant about a release date.”

Post, the failure of ‘Rangoon’ at the box office, success of ‘Chef’ is quite crucial to Saif Ali Khan. Hope this change in the release date proves substantial. (Also Read: Guess who asked Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan to let go of their no-kissing policy)
