Swara Bhaskar is a bit upset over Sonam Kapoor not winning an award for ‘Neerja’

It’s the end of an eventful year and the season of awards has begun. The recently held Star Screen Awards saw movies like ‘Pink’ and ‘Neerja’ winning over many awards. While the Best Actor Award was given to Amitabh Bachchan for ‘Pink’, the best actress award went to Alia Bhatt for ‘Udta Punjab’. ‘Neerja’ actress Sonam Kapoor didn’t win the trophy and that upset her close friend and actress Swara Bhaskar who was also awarded the Best Actress in a Critics Choice Award for ‘Nil Battey Sannata’.

Swara took to her Twitter page to express her displeasure over her bff Sonam’s loss at the award show. Check out her tweets below:

Sonam’s fans too were disappointed and expressed their sadness via a series of tweets.

Sonam may have lost the Best Actress Award at the Star Screen Awards, but she won the trophy at the Asia Vision Movie Awards which were held just last month. She also won the Best Actress Award for her performance in ‘Neerja’ at the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne that was held in the month of August this year.
