Karan Johar

Filmmaker Karan Johar got extremely nostalgic as he shared an old picture of his late father Yash Johar with legendary action star Bruce Lee and actor James Coburn in one frame. In the monochromatic picture, Mr Johar, Lee and Coburn are seen standing beside a broken car. In the 60s era, James Coburn trained in martial arts under Bruce Lee. Then in 1978, Bruce Lee and Coburn wrote a story for Richard Moore’s ‘Circle Of Iron’.

Yash Johar was a production controller for Hindi and English crews on the bilingual movie ‘Guide’ (1965) before launching his own Dharma Productions banner. The picture somewhat suggests that Lee was looking out for locations for a movie which never got made. The picture was first shared by filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and Karan Johar couldn’t thank him enough as he posted the picture with the caption, “My father and Bruce lee in one image!! Never thought i would see this visual! Thanks #shekharkapur.” [sic] (Also Read: Here’s how much Karan Johar earned from the smashing success of ‘Baahubali 2’)
