Ahead of its exclusive global premiere on Prime Video, the much-anticipated horror thriller Chhorii 2 had a special screening in Mumbai. Deeply unsettling, emotionally powerful, and rooted in haunting folklore, the screening delivered a chilling glimpse. It portrays a world where a mother must once again confront her darkest fears to protect her child.

The evening was graced by the film’s stellar cast. Nushrratt Bharuccha, Soha Ali Khan, and Hardika Sharma, along with director Vishal Furia. Producers Vikram Malhotra and Jack Davis, and saw the presence of Manish Menghani, Director – Content Licensing, Prime Video India. Guests from across the film fraternity came together in support of this intense, atmospheric sequel that builds on the legacy of its predecessor, Chhorii. The evening saw a spectacular turnout from cinema’s popular personalities. Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Kunal Kemmu and Mrunal Thakur were present. Pashmina Roshan, Parul Gulati, Amruta Khanvilkar, and more attended the Chhorii 2 special screening.

About Chhorri 2

Set in a haunting underground cave world, Chhorii 2 follows Sakshi, now a mother. She is pulled back into the terrifying past she thought she had left behind. With her daughter Ishani in danger, Sakshi must fight through scary rituals and ghostly figures. A mysterious new enemy — the eerie Daasi Ma, played by Soha Ali Khan.

The film builds on the folk horror of the first part, with more fear, emotion, and strong performances. Guests at the screening praised its gripping story and powerful visuals. The intense direction takes the horror to a whole new level.
