Meet Jim Sarbh who played the Terrifying Terrorist in ‘Neerja’!
Jim Sarbh is now gearing up for his next release in Konkona Sen Sharma’s directorial debut “A Death in the Gunj”.
Jim attended workshops and isolated himself to get into the skin of the character of terrorist Khalil.In an interview, he said,"I was in a bad mood because Khalil is always angry. So, while shooting the film, I went into an isolation, didn’t interact with people, had no social life… But once I was done with the character, I could wash Khalil off my face."
The actor revealed Khalil got to him as he found himself behaving like the character on the film’s set.He said, “Khalil was short tempered and so I had begun behaving like him on sets. I used to sometimes yell at the assistant directors if my costume was not ready on time. I was saying things the way I usually don’t but the way Khalil would’ve said it. The character was challenging, it got on my nerves,”
Jim Sarbh has a degree in psychology from Emory University in Atlanta.

He has directed, produced and acted in a many plays like Alyque Padamsee’s 'Death of a Salesman', Rajit Kapur’s 'Glass Menagerie', Vickram Kapadia’s 'The Merchant of Venice' and Kalki Koechlin’s 'The Living Room'.
Jim belongs to one of the most illustrious families in the art world. He is the grandson of famous Kali Pundole who founded the Pundole Art Gallery in Mumbai in the year 1963.
Jim is a theatre actor and director, who has shared the stage with actors like Kalki Koechlin and Ira Dubey. He has also appeared on Forbes 30 under 30 list in 2015.
