Recently, it was reported that Chiranjeevi was diagnosed with cancer and got cured after treatment. On Saturday, Chiranjeevi slammed the fake reports. The actor penned a long note saying that there is no truth in the rumours. He stated that he did regular tests which helped him detect non-cancerous polyps which might have turned dangerous if not tested.

Here’s what Chiranjeevi wrote…

Addressing the rumour about him getting cancer, Chiranjeevi wrote in Telugu which translates, “A while ago I spoke about the need to raise awareness about cancer while inaugurating a cancer centre. I told that cancer can be prevented if you undergo regular medical tests. I was alert and took a colon scope test.”

He added, “I said that non-cancerous polyps were detected and removed. I only said ‘if I hadn’t done the test first, it would have turned out to be cancer’. That’s why everyone should take precautions and undergo medical tests/screening.”

He went on to add, “But some media organizations did not understand this properly and started publishing web articles saying ‘I got cancer’ and ‘I survived due to treatment’. This has caused unnecessary confusion. Many well-wishers are sending messages about my health. This clarification is for all of them. Also, an appeal to such journalists: don’t write nonsense without understanding the subject. Because of this, many people are scared and hurt (folded hands emoji).”

Fans reacted to Chiranjeevi’s tweet. A fan wrote, “Thanks for clarifying Megastar Garu… God Bless.” Another fan wrote, “God Bless you sir.” “Stay strong and healthy boss,” wrote a fan.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi has Bholaa Shankar in the pipeline. In May, he shot for a song in Switzerland. The actor had shared photos from the sets of the film.
