Rumours were buzzing that actors Kartik Aaryan and Jacqueline Fernandez will be headlining the Kirik Party remake of the Kannada film. Moreover, it was also said the makers of the film have bought the rights but since then, there has been no development on the project. Now, during an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rakshit revealed that they bought the rights five years ago.

Rakshit exclusively told us, “It was happening but it’s been five years, more than five years since Kirik Party was released. It (the rights) was bought then so I don’t know why they are not making it. I wish they made it so that when I make Kirik Party 2 probably people would have watched it.”

Rakshit Shetty is now gearing up to release his upcoming movie, 777 Charlie which is touted to be a pan-India film. The movie has been dubbed in several languages including Hindi.
