The official statement read, “We regret to inform everyone that Mr. NTR sustained an unfortunate shoulder injury earlier this evening. Following a thorough medical evaluation, the team of doctors headed by Dr. J. Madhusudan Rao and Dr. R. A. Purnachandra Tejaswi has advised complete rest for six to eight weeks. We want to assure everyone there is no cause for panic. We will continue sharing updates regarding his health and recovery as appropriate. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

About The Film

Dragon has been in production for some time, with the first look and title unveiled on Jr NTR’s birthday in May. The film, which promises intense action sequences, features NTR in a fierce avatar, with director Prashanth Neel known for his work in Salaar and KGF. NTR shared a heartfelt message on his X account, thanking fans for their support and expressing excitement about the project, crediting Neel for his vision.

In the film, Jr NTR plays a ruthless killer fighting against villains attempting to dominate the opium trade. The teaser showed him standing atop a mountain amid a pile of bodies, guns blazing against enemies—an image inspired by Neel’s signature filmmaking style and vivid color palette. The film also features a star-studded cast including Biju Menon, Rukmini Vasanth, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, and others. Dragon is scheduled to release on June 11, 2027.

Jr NTR’s Projects

Additionally, Jr NTR is set to reunite with director Trivikram Srinivas after eight years. It’s a project that hints at a story centred around Lord Murugan/Karthikeya. However, the announcement caused some controversy among Tamilians due to perceptions that it misrepresented the deity’s origins. This has led to social media backlash.
