Unni Mukundan has landed in legal trouble

Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has landed in legal trouble after his former PR manager, Vipin Kumar, filed an assault complaint against him. A court has now summoned the actor to appear on October 27, 2025. The police have completed their investigation and filed a chargesheet, which includes serious allegations like assault, threats, and property damage.

According to the chargesheet, the incident took place earlier this year. Police collected strong evidence, including about 10 minutes of CCTV footage, witness statements, and phone location data. This proves earlier reports about a lack of evidence were incorrect.

Police File Chargesheet Against Unni Mukundan

The charges include entering Vipin’s flat complex with harmful intent, abusing him verbally, threatening his life, and damaging property (specifically breaking sunglasses). These charges are bailable under the Indian Penal Code. Unni Mukundan, known for the film Marco, has denied the allegations.

At a press meet, he said he never physically harmed Vipin. He admitted to throwing the sunglasses but insisted there was no violence. He also questioned Vipin’s role as his manager and accused him of blackmail.

Vipin Kumar, on the other hand, claims Unni punched him in the face, abused him, and made threats. He said the actor was upset about him working with other stars like Tovino Thomas. The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) and AMMA met with both parties.

Based on the evidence, they found some of Unni’s claims to be untrue. However, they said the matter should now be handled legally and will not interfere further. The case will now move forward in court to determine the truth behind these serious allegations.
