Yash's Toxic In Trouble After Karnataka Women’s Commission Lodge Complaint With CBFC Over 'Obscene' Clip In Teaser

Yash led Toxic is already facing controversy just days after its teaser was launched on the actor’s birthday. The Karnataka State Commission for Women has filed a complaint with the CBFC over what they deem to be obscene content in the teaser. The teaser for Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups has generated widespread discussion online, but one particular scene has sparked significant outrage. The scene in question shows Yash making out with a woman inside a car before shooting several men, which has divided viewers.

Yash Starrer Toxic Teaser In Trouble After KWC Complain Over Obscene Scene

The scene has now brought the film into trouble after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lodged a formal complaint with the Karnataka State Commission for Women (KSWC) on Monday. They raised objections to the allegedly obscene scenes. According to PTI, representatives from the women’s wing of the Karnataka AAP met with KSWC officials and submitted their complaint. This calls for action—including the removal of the teaser.

In response, the KSWC reportedly wrote to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), requesting “appropriate action.” Usha Mohan, the AAP state secretary, stated in the letter, “The obscene and explicit content in this teaser is causing serious harm to the social well-being of women and children. Since these scenes have been released publicly without any age-appropriate warnings, they degrade the dignity of women and insult Kannada culture.”

Expressing concern over the “adverse impact on society, especially minors,” the complaint urged the commission to intervene. They urge authorities to ban the teaser and remove it from social media platforms.

The letter further emphasised, “On behalf of the women’s wing of the Aam Aadmi Party, we urge the women’s commission to treat this matter seriously and take immediate action to uphold the cultural and moral values of our state.”

Citing the petition filed by Mohan, the commission’s secretary, the letter to the CBFC requested, “It is hereby requested to verify the content and take further action according to rules. And to submit a report on the steps taken.”
