3 reasons why Disha Vakani returning to TMKOC might not be a good idea

Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah went on be become a big name in the TV arena. The audiences have loved it for over 15 years, but in the recent past, the show has lost its sheen. Things for TMKOC started going downhill after actress Disha Vakani went on maternity leave in 2017 only to not return for 6 long years. Now producer Asit Modi announced her return very soon, and fans have had mixed views on Disha aka Dayaben coming back on Tarak Mehta Ka OOltah Chashmah.

Most of them are of course happy, however, some even feel that probably Disha Vakani returning to TMKOC has missed the bus. Coming back to the show is after all not that great an idea anymore. Well, even we feel that returning back to Tarak Mehta would not be so much fun after all and we have our reasons…

3 reasons why we feel Disha shouldn’t go back on Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

With so much hullabaloo around the show, especially, Jennifer Mistry exposing how non-cooperative can Sohail Ramani get. Leaving her kids behind for long hours might be a herculean task for Disha. But that’s not among the major reasons.

TMKOC controversy

With all the issues around the show and its makers, the TMKOC set is not a happy place to be in. Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s set has been exposed and accused of being biased towards women artists, Asit Modi making lewd remarks, and many other vices that Monika Bhadoriya or even Jennifer Mistry spoke about off late. In fact, dues not being cleared has been another major tussle. Hence, this isn’t a good time to be anywhere around that set.

The new cast members

Apart from a few people, a huge amount of the cast on the show has changed. New actors have come in and that might only lead to her taking time in gelling up and building the equation that Gokuldham ladies previously had. So fitting into a changed and new setup might take time for Disha.

A lot has changed

Not just the actors, but even the storyline has progressed to a great extent. Tapu Sena has grown up, they are adults and many more character graphs have also taken a different turn.

Having said that, as a viewer, Dayaben returning to the show would be like it getting back its lost glory. It would be so much fun to see Jethalal and have Daya back in his life, but we will have to wait and watch if that happens.
