Television actress Chahatt Khanna is a known face on television. She has amazed fans with her performance as Ayesha Sharma in the Bade Achhe Lagte Hai serial. The actress talked about her horrifying experience of molestation faced when she was a kid by an elderly uncle in her society.
Chahatt Realised Being Molested 2 Years Ago During Childhood, As She Witnessed A Similar Experience
Chahatt recalled the incident and stated that she realised that she was molested two years ago after a similar case involving her childhood friend made her reflect on her own experience. Speaking about it to Free Press Journal, she said, “This happened to me when I was very young. So, this uncle was there in my society. And he used to make me sit on his lap. And I was like, He is a Bengali uncle.”
The 38-year-old actress also added, “Two years back, I got to know. I met my childhood friend. She told me about somebody. That girl had filed a case against that uncle for molestation. Then I realised. He used to do the same thing that he used to do with me. And she was a little elder than me. So, she realised what he was doing”
On the work front, Chahatt was last seen in the 2023 comedy-drama film Yaatris. It was directed by Harish Vyas. The film also starred Raghubir Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Anuraag Malhan, and Jamie Lever.
The film story follows a heartwarming tale of community, the Sharmas, a dysfunctional middle-class family from Banaras, set off on a transformative journey as they negotiate love, humour, and life lessons.
