Single mom Chahatt Khanna opens up on facing financial woes; says, ‘Work offers have dried’

Chahatt Khanna is embroiled in a divorce battle with estranged husband Farhan Mirza. The actress is single-handedly raising her two daughters, Zohar and Amaira. The actress recently opened up about how work offers have dried up and how she is raising her kids with ‘little help and little money’. Chahatt took to her social media handles to share how she is judged but motherhood has only helped her to strive more and be a better person.

The Qubool Hai actress shared how motherhood has helped her to do more than what is expected of her. The actress said she is working for her kids’ future and even though society judge her most of the times,  she is open to facing all the challenges that life has to throw her way.

Taking to her Twitter handle, Chahatt wrote, “Motherhood is being misunderstood. I am a single mother and raising two kids with little help and even little money,They judge me that I might not be left with the same calibre that I once was but motherhood gets you to be 2x and sometimes more of what you can be because you are working for your kids and their future. The work offers has dried but I am not a lesser person or an actor. I am stronger, fitter and better in each aspect. Bring it on.”

Earlier in an interview with Hindustan Times, Chahatt had opened up about how people think that she is well to do or busy with her kids so she doesn’t need work. Revealing how she is looking for work, the actress had told the daily, “I was also thinking about sharing on social media that I’m back again, looking for acting work. Now people think she has a lot of money and well off and doesn’t need work. Or they think she’s busy with her kids. So, there’s this whole perception that people have about me, which is not true.”

On the work front, Chahatt was recently seen in a music video Quarantine Love opposite Mika Singh. She has done shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Kumkum, Hero , Qubool Hai. She has also featured in films like Thank You and Prassthanam.
