EXCLUSIVE: Debina Bonnerjee BREAKS DOWN in tears as she recalls ‘devastating’ failed IVF attempts

Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary welcomed their first child, daughter Lianna through IVF in April this year. Debina was very vocal about her pregnancy journey. Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble for the second season of XtraOrdinary You, Debina got candid as she opened up about the tedious IVF process and failed attempts.

Recalling the tough time, Debina shared, “Naturally, it wasn’t working out. So, after that, we opted for IVF. And IVF is a very complicated factor. A lot of things comes into consideration. It is about the uterine lining, it is about all the factors that is happening and above everything God. On top of that, there are times that you conceive and in the beta HCG test it shows a certain parameter which shows that you are pregnant. And then, after a few days the parameter starts depleting. I mean it starts going negative instead of going positive. So, that is again the most devastating thing that can happen because the first time it happened the doctor actually wrote to me congratulations when I showed her my test report.”

The actress continued, “I remember me and Guru were in a mall and when I sent her the report she told me congratulations and I told Guru ‘Doctor said congratulation’, and both of us were walking in the mall as we’re thinking that we are going to become parents. And the next test, it did not go higher and in the next test it got stuck there and in the next test it started coming down so.. it just feels weird. You just don’t know where you are. You just don’t know whether you should be happy or whether you should be strong or whether you should be ‘ok no problem next time’ because it’s not one day thing. It’s just happening. So, you just don’t know what is happening to you and you want to happen, but it is not happening. You don’t know when to tell your parents and you don’t know when to tell your family or well-wishers. So, it’s a phase of life which was very weird.”

Debina and Gurmeet welcomed their second child, a baby girl on Friday (11 November). The couple announced the birth of their second baby with a heartwarming post. Well, during the chat, Debina also addressed the judgement and trolling that happened once she announced her second pregnancy.
