Hansika Motwani, Sohael Khaturiya Officially Divorce After 4 Years Of Marriage; Actress Seeks NO Alimony- Report

TV actress Hansika Motwani, who began her career with Shaka Laka Boom Boom, and businessman Sohael Khaturiya have officially ended their marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in December 2022, were reportedly granted a divorce by mutual consent by the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. The development comes months after rumours of trouble in their relationship surfaced online. Particularly after Hansika removed several wedding pictures from her social media, sparking speculation about a possible split. Advocate Adnan Shaikh represented Hansika Motwani was by during the proceedings.

According to a statement issued by Hansika’s lawyer to NDTV, the divorce came after both parties acknowledged that the marriage could no longer continue. Lawyer Adnan Shaikh confirmed the development while explaining the circumstances under which the court granted the decree. “Our client, Hansika Motwani, has been granted a decree of divorce by the Hon’ble Family Court Bandra. The divorce was granted by mutual consent after both parties acknowledged that the marriage had irretrievably broken down,” Shaikh said, as quoted by NDTV.

He further revealed that Hansika initially sought a peaceful resolution and approached her husband to discuss an amicable separation. “Our client had initially approached her now former husband seeking an amicable separation, which ultimately culminated in the present decree. The respondent filed his affidavit before the court today, confirming his consent to the dissolution of the marriage,” he added, reports suggest.

Hansika Motwani Doesn’t Seek Alimony After Divorce

The lawyer also clarified that the actor did not seek any financial settlement as part of the divorce. Instead, he said, Hansika’s primary intention was to end the marriage respectfully and move forward. “It is pertinent to clarify that our client has made no claims whatsoever for alimony or maintenance. As her sole intention was to bring a dignified and peaceful closure to the marriage. The reasons for the breakdown of the relationship were placed before the Hon’ble Court in the petition. Our client now wishes to move forward with her life and professional commitments,” Shaikh stated.

Hansika Motwani married Sohael Khaturiya on December 4, 2022, in a grand ceremony. The businessman had proposed to the actor earlier that year in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. After which she shared photos on Instagram with the caption “Now and Forever.”

However, rumours of trouble in their marriage began circulating last year after Hansika deleted several wedding photos from her Instagram account. Despite the speculation, the actor has not publicly commented on the divorce so far.
