Indian Idol 15 came to an end on April 6, 2025, after a successful five-month run. The grand finale crowned 24-year-old Manasi Ghosh from Kolkata as the winner of the popular singing reality show. Along with the winner’s trophy, she also took home a brand-new car and a cash prize of ₹25 lakh.

Manasi opened up about the tough times her family faced financially. She shared that during a period when her father’s business suffered losses, she stepped in to support him by contributing financially. Speaking to Zoom, she said, “My father had business during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it was in loss. So, I had to pay all the loans. I could do it only through singing as I was professionally pursuing it. I had to manage it carefully as the amount was huge.”

The 24-year-old further shared, “While I was earning for my family, my father also helped. But I had to earn more to solve the problem. That’s when I felt that if I went on a bigger platform, I would be able to earn more money and solve my dad’s problem. And that is why I say—’Don’t stop believing in yourself, don’t let anything stop you and just do it’.”
