Video: Sanjay Dutt gets emotional as he remembers parents Nargis and Sunil Dutt on Indian Idol 14 sets, says, ‘We take them for granted’

Sanjay Dutt is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. He is set to make an appearance on the singing reality show Indian Idol 14. The makers of Indian Idol 14 recently shared a promo for the upcoming episode and it shows an emotional Sanjay Dutt remembering his parents Nargis and Sunil Dutt. For the uninitiated, Sanjay lost his mother Nargis to cancer in 1981. On the other hand, Sunil Dutt died of a heart attack in 2005.

Sanjay Dutt remembers parents on Indian Idol 14

In the video, Sanjay shared how, after his parents’ demise, he realised the importance of spending time with them. He said, “We take our parents for granted. We feel, ‘Mummy papa hain aur hamesha rahenge (Mummy papa are there and they will always be there).”

He added, “My mother said something to me, which I remember now. She used to say, ‘Sanjay mere saath baith, mere saath time guzaar (Sanjay, sit with me and spend some time with me). Because when I am gone, you will feel very bad. Now, I feel had I listened to her and would have spent a few hours with her during the day, I would not have this feeling.”

Sanjay Dutt often shares pictures of himself with his parents on social media.

On the work front, Sanjay will be seen in KD – The Devil. The actor also has Welcome To The Jungle with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani and Johnny Lever among others. Sanjay also has Baap with Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, and Mithun Chakraborty.
