‘Kumkum’ actress Juhi Parmar is the doting mother of her seven-year-old daughter, Samairra. Also, she is looking after her parents. Today, where people talk about women empowerment, Juhi fits into it very well as she has been doing the duty of both mother and a daughter very well. Juhi has set an example for all the single moms out there.

Even amid the lockdown, Juhi has been taking extra care and precautions for her daughter and mom-dad. She said, “I have to take extra precautions as I have both the generations-my parents and my daughter. They are of the age groups where we have to be extremely careful because they are of very delicate ages to catch the infection. So, I have been making sure they don’t go out.”

Juhi was all praise for her daughter as she said, “My daughter has not stepped out at all and for her age, she has been extremely understanding. There are days when she really gets upset but she hasn’t really troubled me as such about wanting to go out. In fact, she sees from the balcony kids playing down in society and she would be just amazed that ‘why they are coming down and why their parents are sending them down’. She herself says, ‘I’m not going to go out’. She stepped out of the house in four months once for only 15 minutes and that was just to take a round in the complex in the evening and after that when she came up there was too much of washing, cleaning and sanitising that she said, ‘I don’t want to go down only’. It’s me who go out and get the stuff rather my parents going out and very rarely my parents have stepped out. There is no unnecessarily roaming around happening from our side.”

Talking about the lockdown, the ‘Shani’ actress said, “By now most of us have got used to it. Now it has become part of our routine where we don’t have any work lined up outside the house. So, getting out of the house has just gone out of the habit. So, I don’t know how it will be like getting back to the earlier routine. Otherwise, I prefer to stay inside and happy being at home. I go out only when I have to meet my friends or something. So, it really didn’t affect me much as it affected those who are used to go out too much.”
