In a heartbreaking incident, actress Mannara Chopra lost her father, Advocate Raman Rai Handa, on 16 June 2025 in Mumbai. The news left the Chopra family in deep sorrow. Mannara, along with her sister Mitali Handa and their mother, reached the crematorium to perform the final rites.

In videos that surfaced online, both sisters were seen breaking down in tears as they paid their last respects. Mannara was seen comforting Mitali, who couldn’t stop crying.

The family brought the mortal remains of Mr. Handa to the crematorium. Mannara, who was clearly devastated, insisted on helping carry her father’s body along with other male members of the family. She walked with them to the cremation site, showing her deep love and respect for her father.

Earlier, a video posted by Instant Bollywood showed Mannara walking out of the airport terminal looking extremely heartbroken. She had flown back to Mumbai immediately after hearing the news. On Instagram, Mannara shared an emotional post announcing her father’s passing. She called him the “pillar of strength” of their family and informed followers that he had left for his heavenly abode on 16 June.

Mannara also shared the address of the crematorium in her post. Her cousins, including global star Priyanka Chopra, reshared the post and sent their condolences. Mannara has always spoken fondly about her close bond with her father and how important family has been in her life. His loss has left a deep void in her heart.
