Actor Aditya Pancholi appeared at the Bombay High Court on Tuesday for the 28th hearing in the case related to his petition to quash an FIR filed against him in an alleged r*pe incident. The case was initially filed by a female actor in 2019. Pancholi’s legal team stated that he cannot comment further on the ongoing legal proceedings, and the court will deliver its verdict on March 4. Pancholi’s lawyer, Prashant Patil, explained that the FIR registered at Versova police station under IPC sections, including 376, was filed in 2019 and is now being challenged in court. The next hearing has been scheduled for March 4.

Aditya Pancholi Reaches Bombay HC For R*pe Case

In an interaction with IANS, Patil said, “The complainant is a female actor, and Aditya Pancholi is the accused. Today’s court proceedings involved reiterating the demand to quash the FIR. The public prosecutor representing the police informed the court that the victim did not attend the investigation despite being served notices 11 times.”

The High Court has issued a notice again today, directing the complainant to appear at the next hearing. The FIR, registered on June 27, 2019, has been controversial, with Pancholi’s side claiming that the complaint was filed nearly 15 years after the alleged incident, alleging malicious intent. The petition cites the ‘Bhajan Lal’ judgment by the Supreme Court in seeking the FIR’s cancellation.

Aditya’s Lawyer Is Confident Of Getting Justice

While speaking to ANI, the Bollywood actor’s lawyer called r*pe allegations against his client ‘fake’. “So it was a specific case that all the entire allegations against Mr. Pancholi are fake based on which, as the legal team, we filed a quashing petition before the honourable high court, which was pending since many years,” he said.

When the actor’s lawyer, Prashant, was asked if a chargesheet had been filed, he said, “Filing chargesheet or not is a matter of the police and the State of Maharashtra. I can’t say anything.” He added that from 2019 to 2026, there is no evidence or any truth to this matter. On a concluding note, the lawyer stated that the FIR will be challenged in the High Court, and he is confident that they will get justice.
