Nakuul Mehta is amongst a few celebrities who have been using voice to raise the right issues. The actor has been pretty active on social media. Recently, he collaborated on a series of poems titled Too Much Democracy which highlighted the grave issues concerning the society currently. He is also amongst the few to lend his support to the ongoing farmers’ protest in Delhi. Farmers in North India have been protesting against the Farm laws proposed by the government for many months now.

Recently, the agitation reached a point where the internet services were cut off in the areas where farmers were protesting. International star Rihanna shared a news piece about the same asking, “why are we not talking about this?” Well, what followed later is trolls by the right-wing members who slut-shamed her on Twitter. Celebrities including cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, among others were seen posting similar tweets slamming international support to the protest. They termed the intervention as uncalled for as it is “internal matter.” Nakuul took an epic dig at the same by pointing out that they are the same people who tweeted about Black Lives Matter when a similar incident happened in the USA.
