‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2’ actress Akanksha Juneja shared that she had to work at a very tender age of 11, to support her family. Opening up about her journey, she says, “Looking back I would say it was indeed a very very long journey to reach where I am today. I have seen all types of hardships, struggles in life. I started to work at a very tender age of 11, the reason being my dad suffered a big loss at work and my mom was alone taking care of everything. So I wanted to support her as much as I could. Therefore I started teaching junior kids.”

Talking about her career graph she says, “At the age of 18, I got my first project ‘Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai’ on Colors, followed by ‘Hamari Beti Raaj Karegi’ as my first main lead and then a few more shows. The big break in my career was ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ on Sony TV as a negative lead where fans gave me so much love and appreciation. By God’s grace now I am playing the role of Kanak Desai in ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2’. At the end I would say, it has been going pretty well but I have still not the role that would satisfy my hunger for acting.”

On being asked if she has the fear of typecast, Akanksha says, “I am happy with roles I am getting, be it positive or negative. I believe I have a forte in negative roles so I am open to doing more of it now. It doesn’t matter what type of role you do, it’s your acting that makes you shine.”
