The filmmaker recreated the iconic race car sequence featuring Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi, building excitement for the upcoming fifth instalment of the hit comedy franchise. The original scene featured Arshad Warsi as Madhav and Sharman Joshi as Laxman. In the sequence, the duo enters a chaotic car race to impress a girl named Nirali. The moment became one of the most memorable highlights of the film.
In the recreated version, Sharman’s character, disguised as a woman, and Madhav are seen sitting inside a race car and waving. The video then smoothly transitions from their younger avatars 20 years ago to their present-day selves, recreating the iconic waving moment.
Sharing the clip, Rohit Shetty wrote, “Driving down the memory lane! How old were you when you watched the first Golmaal? We promise you’ll relive those happy days very soon…filming in progress,”
Arshad Warsi also reacted to the nostalgic video. He shared it and wrote, “20 years and nothing has changed. Golmaal will keep entertaining you…” Sharman Joshi also joined in, calling the moment a major throwback. He described it as the “Baap of all throwbacks”.

The original Golmaal released in 2006, starred Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rimi Sen, and Paresh Rawal. The film later became a successful comedy franchise.
