Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Leone

Sanjay Dutt is all set to make a comeback on the big screen in Omung Kumar’s ‘Bhoomi’. We have seen the trailer of the movie and it is quite gripping. After the trailer, the makers released an item number ‘Trippy Trippy’ starring Sunny Leone in it. However, there are reports in Deccan Chronicle which state that Sanjay Dutt is unhappy with the song. As per the reports, Dutt thinks the track is ‘vulgar’. The source says, “Trippy is a huge hit on the social media. Sunny too is happy with the kind of response the song is getting. But Sanju wants it to either go or be trimmed.”

Before his jail sentence, Sanjay Dutt himself has been a part of various item songs so it comes as a surprise when we hear that the actor is miffed with the same in his own film. Possibly because he now wants to maintain a clean image and portray roles that don’t require him to venture into item numbers or even lovemaking scenes. After all, he has two kids now. Anyway, there is no confirmation on these reports so let’s wait. (Also Read: Sanjay Dutt’s royal look is quite good in the poster of ‘The Good Maharaja’)

Recently, the actor recorded a song for the movie. Speaking about the same, he had said, “I am reciting shlokas in the song. I’m an ardent believer of Mata Rani, who has given me the strength to face hard times. When the makers came up with the idea, I was immediately sold. It’s slightly easier nowadays because there are instruments to enhance your tonality and voice. But during my early days, I’ve seen legendary singers like Lataji [Mangeshkar] record songs in a single take. During Rocky (1981), I was in awe of her prowess. We are fortunate that our singers make us sound so good on screen. Singers and musicians need to be lauded more than they are today. I feel fortunate that the audience cares so much for me. It’s because of my fans that I have overcome the hard times and am still around.”

Directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Singh and Omung Kumar, ‘Bhoomi’ is slated to release on Sept 22, 2017.
