After launching the Hindi version of ‘Zingaat’ and the title track, the makers have now released a romantic track from the film, titled ‘Pehli Baar’ which is a recreation of ‘Yad Lagla’. Though the song looks like the polish version of the original, yet touches your heart with the simplicity of the characters- Madhukar (Ishaan Khatter) and Parthavi (Janhvi Kapoor).

In the song, we witness Ishaan in a complete lover boy-avatar, who is head over heels in love with Janhvi. The song sheds light on the journey of a boy, who has just fallen in love and to what extent he goes for his ladylove.

Earlier in an interview with DNA, director Shashank Khaitan had spoken about this song at length. He had said, “We have retained two songs from Sairat because they lent themselves beautifully to ‘Dhadak’. ‘Pehli Baar’ is about that innocent first love and a young boy’s desire for a girl he can never have. Without any set choreography, it captures the moment when Ishaan meets Janhvi and gets attracted to her.”

Speaking about the differences between ‘Pehli Baar’ and ‘Dhadak’ title track, Khaitan said, “‘Dhadak’ is melodious but intense because it speaks of eternal romance, whereas Pehli Baar is like that moment of sunshine you experience when you fall in love.” He added, “As Ajay-Atul had created the Sairat album, too, you can notice the synergy. All the songs are distinct but belong to the same musical family. They have a great sense of orchestra and yet, there’s a strong underlying melody.”
