What makes a salwar suit (no matter how expensive it is) unbearable at times? It’s that irksome dupatta coming in your way while running around on a busy day or worse, tripping over it suddenly. Seems like the eternal fashionista, Shilpa Shetty Kundra has decided to end our dupatta-managing woes and make things a tad easier with her latest fashion outing.

For the taping of a television show, Shilpa gave an interesting, colourful twist to a simple (well, almost) outfit by Amit Aggarwal. The actress clubbed the colourful red asymmetrical hem kurta made from vintage patola saree with metallic sheen tights in a slightly darker hue. Celebrity stylist Sanjana Batra threw in a surprise element with the statement, multi-hued bling belt that possibly cannot go unnoticed. But here’s the most intriguing part of the ensemble. The colourful dupatta was neatly tucked in and cinched at waist with that huge belt, which made the look both eye-catching and fuss-free. What could possibly be more comforting than not having to adjust your dupatta all the time? That’s one terrific idea. Isn’t it? But we just wish the dupatta was slightly pulled up as it almost seems to be awkwardly touching the floor.

Shilpa rounded off the look with delicate finger rings from Isharya, a pair of shimmery Christian Louboutin heels and statement oversized hoops from H&M. The diva opted for her signature hairstyle of voluminous, wavy tresses that complemented her look of the day impeccably. Nude lips and soft smokey eyes gave our desi damsel the finishes touches.

This look could have perhaps gone wrong because of the bright hues, sparkly belt and shoes. But Shilpa pulled it off like a pro and we’ve become fans of how the dupatta has been draped to perfection.
