Akshay Kumar and the star-studded cast of Welcome To The Jungle gathered in Mumbai on Wednesday for the grand trailer launch of the film. The event grabbed attention with its elaborate jungle-themed setup, complete with a giant artificial waterfall that matched the adventurous mood of the film.
Akshay Kumar On Recreating Ucha Lamba Kad With Disha Patani
The launch saw the presence of Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Tusshar Kapoor, Yashpal Sharma, Johny Lever, Aftab Shivdasani, Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, director Ahmed Khan, producer Ajit Andhare, co-producer Shaira Ahmed Khan and dialogue writer Farhad Samji.
Apart from the trailer, the film’s recreated track Ucha Lamba Kad Forever has also generated significant buzz online. The song features Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani and ends with Akshay saying, “We miss you, Katrina,” referring to Katrina Kaif, who featured in the original version from Welcome (2007).
At the trailer launch, Akshay was asked whether the line was scripted or improvised by him. Responding to the question, the actor said, “Nahi nahi feeling pehle se hi tha, jaagi nahi pehli hi thi, aur isiliye bol diya wo, nahi script me nahi tha, script me aapko kya lagta hai Neeraj Vora ne likha hoga ya Firoz ne likha hoga, woh koi nahi likh sakta woh yaha se (dil) nikalta hai.”
Disha Patani On Tributing Katrina Kaif In Ucha Lamba Kad Forever
Disha Patani also spoke about being part of the recreated song and revealed that she personally wanted the track in the film. She said, “I am extremely grateful, and I am a huge fan of Katrina [Kaif]. I used to love this song, and I remember telling Akshay sir, ‘Can you please get this song?’ I used to dance to this track all the time. I am really grateful to get a chance to be a part of this track and do something super fun.”
The actor further opened up about her experience working on the Ahmed Khan directorial. Calling it one of her most memorable shoots, Disha shared, “It is my second film with Ahmed sir, and it was a beautiful journey. Coming to set was like going on a school trip. We all became friends, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.”
With both the trailer and Ucha Lamba Kad Forever receiving strong reactions online, audiences are already praising the chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani.
