Karan Johar directorial Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji will clock 25 years of release on 16th October. The movie released in 1998, continues to remain audience favorite for the stellar cast, storyline, and songs. As the film will soon celebrate Silver Jubilee, Karan Johar made an announcement that iconic song Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aayee will be recreated by Teri Mitti singer B Praak. Not only this, the film will also re-release in theatres.

Taking to his social media, B Praak penned a long note expressing gratitude for getting the opportunity to recreate the song. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to re-release in theatres as it clocks 25 years

Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Kajol starrer to re-release in theatres on 16th October to celebrate the special occasion. Sharing the news, makers wrote, “Hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai aur #KuchKuchHotaHai special screening ka mauka bhi ek hi baar milta hai! At PVR INOX (Mumbai) on 15th October – time to relive the magic!”

The recreation of song and re-releases of movies have become a trend post pandemic. In recent times, Koi Mil Gaya, Tamasha, Jab We Met, among other classic films released in theatres.

 For those unversed, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai also featured Salman Khan. From introducing us to the concept of Pyaar Dosti Hai to friendship bands and bob cuts, the movie proved to be a trendsetter of the ’90s.
