Ventilator 2 is produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Dr. Madhu Chopra and Rajesh Mapuskar under Purple Pebble Pictures and Magij Pictures. The film is scheduled for release in 2027, with further details about its cast and storyline awaited.

Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the original Ventilator brought together an ensemble cast in a deeply human story centred on the Kamerkar family, who gather at a hospital after an elderly family member is placed on a ventilator just before Ganesh Chaturthi. Blending humour, emotion and nuanced observations of family relationships, the film explored generational differences, unresolved tensions and reconciliation. It received three National Film Awards, including Best Director for Mapuskar, Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing.

With Ventilator 2, Priyanka and Purple Pebble Pictures revisit a story that reflects the very philosophy on which the production banner was built: the belief that meaningful stories, distinctive voices and compelling human experiences deserve to be told. The reunion with Mapuskar brings the creative journey full circle, while opening a new chapter for a story that continues to hold significance for the team behind it.
